Spanish
Spanish was a great subject for me to take. Although, to be honest I didn't learn much Spanish, I learned how understanding and kind people are. I learned that maybe strangers, people, aren't as scary as they seem to be. I barely showed up at first because taking the out class was hard for me. Walking in the halls, seeing people was a big struggle. Once I met Mrs. Smith I loved her. I learned we had a lot of stuff in common. Even though being in the class was hard for me, Mrs. Smith understood. She pushed me to do work but no too much that it was out of my comfort zone. I don't really have any handwritten work to show for it. I do have the life lessons I was taught though. Without Mrs. Smith I couldn't have got through he day. When I was having a really hard day she'd let me listen to soothing music and we would talk about the problem. When I was having a good day we would get me started with some work. When I did go to class and got work done I really enjoyed making the power points, whether it was on vocabulary or a Spanish holiday. I know I don't know much Spanish, but I sure know a lot more than I did last year. I probably wont proceed with taking a language because it's just not for me, but I do have the great memories and life skills taking Spanish gave me. Going to this class proved that I could collect the courage to take an out class in general. Mrs. Smith gave me a lot of real world tips that would help me. She made me feel understood. I know sometimes hearing my problems must have been a pain in the ass but I appreciated her kindness, every minute of it. I'm so happy I took Spanish this year and got to meet and bond Mrs. Smith.
